Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt just snapped up one fancy rental home.

While the betrothed actors didn’t buy the Whornes Place estate in London, it turns out the über-famous couple is temporarily residing in another “palatial” home in the area.

And it looks like they’re settling in.

Despite reports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie forked over $16 million to reside in the Whornes Palace in the West London town of Richmond, E! News has learned exclusively the charitable pair is renting a huge mansion in one of the most “exclusive areas” in the United Kingdom. 

“[Brad and Angelina] have decided to settle into one property rather than move around because they are going to be in London for 15 months,” a source told E! News. “It seems better for the whole family if they have a proper base. They have been moved into a palatial mansion that resembles the White House on the exclusive Wentworth golf course in Surrey. It is in a beautiful, gated community, one of the most exclusive areas in the U.K.”

But, Jolie and Pitt aren’t the first celebrities to reside in the stunning home, which sits 21 miles outside of London.

The estate has had its share of star-studded residents, including Elton John and Fergie, the Duchess of York.

And there’s plenty of room for Jolie to stretch her legs.

“The house has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, staff quarters, a gazebo in the garden, an indoor swimming pool and a playground for the children,” the source said. “They have also hired a full time chef.”

Meanwhile, there’s still no word yet on when the newly engaged pair, who moved into the home a week ago, will tie the knot.

But, their new digs certainly would make for one fine place for a wedding.

We’re just sayin’.

How is the seventh season of America’s Got Talent different from all other seasons?

“These NBC executives must be out of their minds taking a risk on me, but they should be fired immediately,” highly anticipated new judge Howard Stern deadpanned before the first act—a magician who literally got booed off the stage (and that was before he started stripping)—went on.

And as for Stern, people who worried that he was going to be a foul-mouthed, unsavory addition to the family friendly show were sorely disappointed.

Not that he wasn’t himself. Stern did think to comment on the stripping magician’s “rather small package” and offer some helpful advice.

“As a stripper you can’t have man-boobs, you understand. I have them, but I’m not a stripper,” the radio superstar added.

Stern’s reactions and observations were center-stage on this premiere episode, when it’s always more about what the judges have to say than anything the auditioners are bringing to the table that matters.

But he wasn’t too much of a big shot either, giving standing ovations and bowing to deserving talent like William Close, a sculptor and musician who ran massive wires across the theater and actually coaxed beautiful music out of them, a one-man industrial symphony.

So, another season of America’s Got Talent is underway—with a twist! Or is Stern joining Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel at the judges table really that much of a twist? At times, it seemed as if he had always been there.

Aubrey O’Day gave it her best all season long on Celebrity Apprentice, but that wasn’t enough.

During Sunday night’s episode, Donald Trump called the singer “transparent,” firing her and leaving Arsenio Hall and Clay Aiken to battle it out. Fortunately, some of their former opponents and teammates came back for the challenge.

Clay, got some help from Penn Jillette, Dee Snyder, Debbie Gibson and a returning Aubrey, while Arsenio, picked Paul Teutul Sr., Teresa Giudice, Lisa Lampanelli and Adam Carolla to work with him.

Team Clay and Team Arsenio were told to direct, produce and star in a variety show to raise money for their charities. They also had to sell tickets to the event and create a PSA.

Clay decided to put on a musical show, asking Debbie for musical advice and Penn to help write and conceptualize. Clay and Debbie, however, quickly began to spar over music choices and Debbie’s desire to have her cousin to paint a mural without Clay seeing any sketches beforehand.

The former American Idol runner-up was a fan of micromanaging more than Arsenio, but both men were dedicated to raising funds for their causes. Clay, a former special education teacher, was happy and right in his element when working with children for a National Inclusion Project PSA—the National Inclusion Project provides a program model for recreational programs so that all different types of kids can play together.

Arsenio, who was raising money for the Magic Johnson Foundation, took a humorous approach to the competition. He even involved Magic in the PSA, with the help of a film crew on the West Coast shooting a few serious words from the former NBA star and HIV/AIDS advocate.

Unfortunately for Team Arsenio, a miscommunication with the technical team made much of Magic’s essential shot unusable. Without his heartfelt, serious message about the foundation’s work, the comic elements filmed by Arsenio and his team would not make sense.

But the former talk show host was steadfast in his fundraising efforts. While the variety show and charity PSA are important, the amount each gala ticket sells for and the contributions raised will play a key role in who wins the Celebrity Apprentice. Clay and his team seemed to be focusing on every detail of their production, and not concentrating on raising funds.

Get ready for some baby talk from the sexiest, Asgard-iest dad around!

Chris Hemsworth, star of The Avengers the highly anticipated Snow White and the Huntsman, is celebrating the birth of his first child with wife Elsa Pataky. E!’s own Giuliana Rancic caught up with the hunky Huntsman at the SWATH press junket in London for loads of baby deets.

Not only did Hemsworth look as handsome as ever, but he gave E! News some exclusive scoop on the meaning behind his baby girl’s moniker.

“It was just a name we liked, I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she liked India,” Chris explained to E! News. “We sorta went, ‘Oh well, whether it’s a boy or girl that will decide.’ It just seemed to fit.”

Aww. What a sweet story and a perfect compromise for the beautiful couple! Between India‘s gorgeous Austrailian father and stunning Spanish mother, we’re sure this babe’s bound to be blessed in the genetics department.

Since the announcement was made, there have been multiple reports as to when, exactly, the baby was born, but Chris decided to stay mum on the topic.

“Very recently,” was all he would admit when Giuliana asked the SWATH star about the exact date of birth, before adding, “This is my politician, kind of, not giving too much away.”

Although Chris wouldn’t reveal the exact birthday of his baby girl, he couldn’t help but gush over just how thrilled he is to be a parent.

“I’ve wanted to have kids for a long time, and here it is, and I couldn’t be happier.”

Who knew Thor could make our hearts melt?! A hunky husband and an adorable dad—Elsa, we say you’ve got a keeper.

Post-SWATH promotion, Hemsworth headed home to spend time with his wife and their little one, expressing his joy over being a father, and admitting how much he missed his two favorite gals.

If Robert Pattinson was in the midst of a quarter-life crisis, we sure couldn’t tell.

The Twilight thesp, who celebrates his 26^th birthday today, kind of ruled when it came to the young Hollywood scene during the last year (he was dubbed our own celeb of the year, after all), scooping up People’s Choice Awards and heating up things off-screen with co-star Kristen Stewart to boot.

And let’s just say Pattinson didn’t kick off the year leading up to his big 2-6 as one of Time Magazine‘s most influential people for nothing.

Before the handsome star, who turned millions into Twihards, wrapped up his last scene on the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 set, Pattinson was busy wooing Stewart, canoodling with the starlet around the globe, and more local stomping grounds like Indio, Calif. for the Coachella Music Festival. 

But, it wasn’t all X’s and O’s for the ubiquitous actor.

Pattinson geared up for a post-Twilight transformation, moving on from the hypnotizing heartthrob role that made him famous, to darker characters like a billionaire who nearly loses everything (along with his sanity) in one day in Cosmopolis (set to be released this year).

Along with Cosmopolis came Bel Ami, a romance flick in which he had quite the steamy scene with Christina Ricci.  

Pattinson also went on to nab the role of a military interrogator who hunts down Saddam Hussein in a psychological thriller flick called Mission: Blacklist due to hit theaters next year.

And being the do-gooder that he is, Pattinson helped build a school for teen girls in Cambodia. 

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what the next 12 months have in store for R.Pattz.

And we’re hoping today’s celebration involves Stewart (lest we forget, he helped her ring in her 22^nd birthday this year).

How many actors have dropped out of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Western, Django Unchained?

Right now the body count on that flick stands at five, including Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and, depending on who to you talk to, Jonah Hill. Still in the saddle—at least, at this hour—are Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington.

Five actors in, and then out? Here’s what I was able to dig up:

WHAT A DRAG: Leo Puffs His Way Onto the Django Unchained Set

Forget The Dictator or Inglourious Basterds or Remember Me. Django Unchained is a movie that I guarantee will face controversy. The plot? How about an ex-slave who seeks revenge against a plantation owner, who, in turn, forces his own human chattel to battle to the death? What could possibly go wrong?

As for why so many actors have shown interest in one form or another only to drop out, most have cited “scheduling conflicts.” Now, that excuse is very common, and I am told it’s sometimes even true.

“Sliding schedules are a frequent reality of film production, be it a result of a lost location, an unexpected illness or other standard production delays,” says producer Adam Targum of Vision Entertainment Group, a production company that has done movies with stars such as Melanie Griffith.

Cohen has described his role as a “cameo,” even, and said he needed to focus on promoting The Dictator.

Now, Django Unchained has been shooting since earlier this year. And, I am told, most dropouts due to scheduling conflicts happen during preproduction, not in the middle of the big show. (Yes, there are exceptions, “particularly if there are delays in the shooting schedule that cause the actors to miss their shooting windows,” entertainment attorney Jeremiah T. Reynolds of Kinsella Weitzman tells me.)

So what else might be going on? It’s very possible that at least one of these actors balked at how the tone of the movie was shaping up, and things got heated.

After all, points out Ron Dolecki, attorney at Rosenfeld, Meyer Susman in Beverly Hills, there are contracts in play here, contracts that cost producers or actors money if they just walk away without good reason. If a producer is holding up his end of the deal and an actor walks, “the more likely scenario is that the actor was fired.

“Such can occur because of personality conflicts, the actor’s conduct or creative differences,” Dolecki tells me.

Whatever is going on out there in Tarantino’s Wild West, it’s a odd phenomenon.

“Multiple defections in a single project are rare,” says Aspen Hughes of V1 Entertainment Films. “If it’s in preproduction and talent drops out, it’s normally not too big a deal, but during shooting, it can throw off all scheduling for days or even weeks, which can jeopardize the entire project.”

Maybe Tarantino should just have stuck with Nazis instead?

Not even a Charlie Sheen-less season of Two and a Half Men could stop the hit show from pressing on. 

CBS announced Saturday it will renew the show following the comedy’s successful season nine, which nabbed impressive ratings and attracted millions of viewers even after one heck of a drama-filled shake-up with its former star.

News of CBS’s announcement comes after new agreements were reached with Warner Bros. Television and the show’s stars, Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.

In its ninth season, Two and a Half Men ranked second in prime-time comedies for viewers and adults 25-54 and third among adults 18-49. Ratings were also up from season eight by 13 percent.

The series is the fifth comedy to join CBS’s renewal ranks, with How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Mike Molly and The Big Bang Theory also all gearing up for additional seasons as well.

Just months after calling it quits with boyfriend Scott Speer, Ashley Tisdale and the Step Up Revolution director are giving their relationship another try.

A source tells E! News the 26-year-old High School Musical star and Speer have been back together for at least the last few weeks, and it looks like they’ve picked up right where they left off.

We’re told the couple spent all last weekend together as sort of their “coming out” to show they had officially reunited.

Tisdale’s 29-year-old, on-again beau even offered up a sweet tweet recently when ABC entered into a development deal recently with the Blondie Girl productions owner for her detective drama pilot, The Keys. 

“CONGRATS! Blondie Girl is taking over!,” Speer tweeted to his ladylove, to which Tisdale replied, “hope you have a great day today!!!”

The couple, who broke up last December, has been dating since spring 2009.

Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia got the verdict they wanted today when William Balfour was convicted of murdering their mother, Darnell Donerson; brother Jason Hudson; and Julia’s 7-year-old son, Julian King.

With the painful murder trial behind them, the sisters are thanking those who helped win a guilty verdict for Julia’s ex-husband. They are also letting everyone know how grateful they are for the support they’ve received from people all over the world.

The pair also are extending a prayer to Balfour’s family, acknowleding that they have suffered a loss, too.

“We have many people to thank but our first thank you is to God, always,” the Hudson sisters said in a statement obtained by E! News.

“We are so grateful to prosecutors James McKay, Jennifer Bagby and Veryl Gambino and State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez and her team for their dedication and tireless work from the beginning. We have the best police department, and they have been with us every step of the way. We thank all of the State’s witnesses who came forward on our behalf. We have felt the love and support from people all over the world and we’re very grateful.

“We want to extend a prayer from the Hudson family to the Balfour family,” they continued. “We have all suffered terrible loss in this tragedy. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr. Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday.”

Balfour is facing life in prison for three instances of first-degree murder, as well as convictions for aggravated kidnapping, residential burglary, home invasion and possession of a stolen vehicle. His attorney, who maintains her client’s innocence, says she plans to appeal his convictions next month.

Jennifer Hudson listened to the verdicts with tears in her eyes, fiancé David Otunga‘s arm around her shoulders, then looked over at Julia and smiled.
